How listings work
Clean it Up is a free directory and request helper for Accra. It does not employ collectors, take payment, or run a dispatch service.
Where the companies come from
Listings marked “Real company” come from public sources: official company websites, the Environmental Service Providers Association (ESPA) member list, and public business directories. Company names remain listed, but their phone numbers, WhatsApp links, websites and office addresses are not displayed. Listed coverage may change and does not guarantee availability.
How a request reaches a collector
- You fill in the pickup form and add a photo of your waste. The request is saved on your own phone or computer.
- For an approved online collector, choose the company and send your request. Your photo, contact details and location become available in that company’s private collector dashboard. Otherwise, send it yourself by WhatsApp or phone after saving.
- Online collectors can confirm completed collection, which appears in your device’s request history. WhatsApp replies, prices and agreed pickup times are not tracked.
The photo reader
The free “Identify my waste” feature sends your photo to an AI model to suggest waste types and preparation steps. It is a suggestion only — check it before the pickup. Photos sent with online requests are stored privately for the assigned collector; manually saved photos stay on your device unless you share them.
What Clean it Up cannot promise
We cannot confirm a booking, a price, or a pickup time — only the collector can. If a company agrees to take requests directly, we add their confirmed contact details. Clean it Up is not affiliated with any listed company.
